Tempering Furnace Sector Heaters

Importance of Tempering Furnace Heating Elements

Meneviş oven heating elements play a critical role in the heating systems of industrial ovens and are vital for the efficiency, performance, and durability of the oven. These heating elements are manufactured from special alloys designed to withstand the operating temperatures inside the oven, and they must exhibit stable performance even when exposed to high temperatures.

Operating Principle of Tempering Furnaces

  • The metal is placed into the furnace and heated to the desired temperature.
  • The temperature is controlled by thermostats inside the furnace.
  • The metal is held at this temperature for a certain period.
  • The metal is then removed from the furnace and cooled in a controlled manner.
  • Cooling can be achieved using air, water, or oil.

Heaters Used in Tempering Furnace

  • Nickel-chromium heaters: The most commonly used type of heater. They are resistant to high temperatures (up to 1200°C) and have a long lifespan.
  • Kanthal heaters: More expensive than nickel-chromium heaters, but can withstand higher temperatures (up to 1300°C).
  • Ceramic heaters: Used at lower temperatures (up to 600°C). They consume less energy compared to nickel-chromium and Kanthal heaters.
